The customs report for January-September 2026 gives two distinct non-oil export figures: $6.65 billion overall and $2.88 billion for goods of Azerbaijani origin. They should not be used interchangeably.

Different statistical coverage
The first figure covers exports outside commodity headings 2709-2715, regardless of origin. The second isolates goods of Azerbaijani origin. The $3.77 billion gap reflects different coverage, rather than an arithmetic error.
| Indicator | Non-oil exports, US$ million |
|---|---|
| All origins | 6,651.57 |
| Azerbaijani origin | 2,880.60 |
What the origin-based measure shows
Fruit and vegetables contributed $671.38 million, or 23.31%, to non-oil exports of Azerbaijani origin. Plastics, aluminium, cotton, fertilisers and copper ores were also significant. This breakdown is more useful when examining the composition of locally originating exports.
Gold changes the overall picture
Gold under heading 7108 accounted for $3.78 billion, or 56.85%, of total non-oil exports. Transactions in the metal therefore have a major influence on the aggregate. The tables do not establish that all this gold was mined locally, nor do they identify individual exporters. Origin and transaction details require separate verification.
