The partnership with the American company Comstock Resources opens new opportunities for expanding the operations of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the United States.
This was written by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf in a post on the social network X.
He said that today he held a meeting with the president and chief financial officer of Comstock Resources, Roland O. Burns, within the framework of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026).
"During the meeting, we expressed satisfaction with the recent signing of the Letter of Intent on strategic partnership and exchanged views on cooperation issues arising from this document," the SOCAR president emphasized.
According to him, this partnership opens new opportunities for expanding SOCAR's activities in the US energy market and diversifying its business portfolio:
"I am convinced that combining SOCAR's international experience with Comstock Resources' extensive asset base will create a solid foundation for generating long-term value and strengthening our competitiveness."
