The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is ready to consider investment opportunities with Cambodia. This was stated by Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at the Azerbaijan-Cambodia Business Forum, FinFly reports.

According to him, energy, including green energy, is among other important areas: "Azerbaijan today is a reliable global supplier of energy resources. The number of countries receiving natural gas from the country via pipelines is 16. The number of countries receiving gas in liquefied form is even greater. Competitive energy prices make Azerbaijan an attractive place for production. We welcome partnership in traditional energy, renewable energy and energy efficiency."

The minister noted that the state company SOCAR is not just a supplier but also an active investor: "Today the company is represented by investment activities in Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Central Asia and the wider region. We would be glad to work together with our partners in Cambodia and consider cooperation opportunities, and we are open to this."
