As of August 1, 2026, out of 1,715,746 taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan, 86.7% were individuals, and 13.3% were legal entities and other organizations.
This was reported by the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
According to the data, compared with the same period last year, the total number of taxpayers increased by 4.8%, including individuals by 4.6% and legal entities by 5.9%.
As of August 1, the number of registered commercial organizations reached 211,595, up 6.7% from the previous year.
In July 2026, 1,257 commercial organizations underwent state registration. Of these, 86.1% were enterprises with local investments, and 13.9% with foreign investments. 82.7% of commercial structures were registered electronically. In January–July 2026, the share of electronic registration of limited liability companies (LLCs) with local investments was 97.1%.
As of August 1, 2026, 92.2% of state-registered commercial legal entities were established in the form of limited liability companies.
