From March 21 to July 22, 2026, the volume of loans issued by Iranian banks to various sectors increased by 75% compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Central Bank of Iran.
"In the 4 months of the current Iranian year, Iranian banks issued loans totaling about $19.6 billion to various sectors. The volume of loans issued in 4 months is 75% higher than the figure for the same period last year. In the same period last year, Iranian banks issued about $11.2 billion in loans to various sectors," the statistics said.
According to the statistics, in 4 months, Iranian banks issued loans to the industrial and mining sectors totaling about $8.3 billion. Loans to the services sector amounted to about $6.66 billion, and to the trade sector about $2.95 billion.
In addition, in 4 months, Iranian banks issued loans to the agricultural sector totaling about $1.06 billion, to housing and construction about $587 million, and to other unspecified sectors about $1.77 million.
Loans were provided for working capital replenishment, creation and development of new enterprises, self-employment, purchase of personal means, and other purposes.
