Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy as of August 1 of this year amounted to 34 billion 155.1 million manats. This is 0.8% more compared to July 1, 6.9% more compared to the beginning of the year, and 12.9% more compared to August 1 of last year.
Private banks accounted for 23 billion 593.9 million manats, or 69.1% of credit investments, which is 11.8% more compared to the same period a year earlier.
As of the reporting date, credit investments of state banks amounted to 8 billion 501.4 million manats, up 14.9% year-on-year. During the year, the share of state banks in total credit investments increased from 24.5% to 24.9%.
As of August 1, credit investments of non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) amounted to 2 billion 059.8 million manats, up 17.1% year-on-year. During the year, the share of NBCOs in total credit investments increased from 5.8% to 6%.
