President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev sent a congratulatory letter to his Indonesian counterpart, Prabowo Subianto.
In the congratulation, it is stated:
"On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and, in your person, to your friendly people the most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of August 17 – the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
At present, there are good opportunities for further expanding the scope of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia in a number of areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of economy, mutual investment, humanitarian and other directions.
I am confident that we will achieve the strengthening of Azerbaijani-Indonesian friendship and cooperation for the benefit of our peoples.
