Household deposits in foreign currency in Azerbaijani banks decreased by 0.29% year-on-year as of July 1, 2026, reaching 4.978 billion manats.

As reported by FinFly.News citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), their share in the total volume of individual deposits amounted to 27.93%. A year earlier, their share was 32.34%, and at the beginning of 2026 - 30.82%.

Thus, since the beginning of this year, the volume of foreign currency deposits has decreased by 2.89 percentage points.

The total volume of household bank deposits (including funds of individual entrepreneurs) as of July 1 increased by 15.46% year-on-year and by 6.27% since the beginning of the year, reaching 17.823 billion manats.

Deposits in the national currency increased by 15.77% over the year and by 10.71% since the beginning of the year, amounting to 12.845 billion manats, which is equivalent to 72.06% of all deposits.

During the reporting period, resident deposits reached 16.347 billion manats, and non-resident deposits - 1.476 billion manats. Resident deposits increased by 16.24% over the year, while non-resident deposits increased by 7.44%. Compared to the beginning of the year, resident deposits grew by 6.99%, while non-resident deposits decreased by 1.13%.

The total volume of deposits and deposits in Azerbaijani banks as of July 1, 2026 amounted to 44.155 billion manats, which is 2.8% higher than the same period last year and 5.82% more than at the beginning of this year.
