How bank deposits work

Updated: 0 views

A deposit places money with a bank under contractual terms. Returns depend on rate, term, accrual and deductions.

10,000 manat at 8% for one year without compounding produces 800 before possible deductions. Check early withdrawal and accrual terms.

Azerbaijan protection

At review, ADIF lists protected-deposit rate ceilings of 12% in manat and 2.5% in foreign currency. Protected personal deposits have a 100,000-manat compensation limit per depositor per member bank; multiple deposits there are combined.

Different accounts

Business-related funds have separate conditions and limits. Confirm the bank’s membership and your contract’s protection with ADIF. A high rate does not establish insurance.
