Russian airlines' passenger turnover in the first half of the year remained at the level of the same period last year, totaling 131.59 billion passenger-km, with passenger traffic at 49.15 million people, according to Rosaviatsia.
Of the total number of passengers carried by Russian airlines, 36.34 million were transported domestically, while international traffic amounted to 12.81 million people (+0.6% year-on-year).
The passenger seat load factor in the first half of the year increased by 0.7 percentage points to 89.3%.
"Positive dynamics continue on flights between Russia and countries outside the CIS; in the first six months, airlines carried 8.22 million passengers (+1.6%), and in June - 1.54 million (+2.8%)," Rosaviatsia notes.
Russian airports served 97.16 million passengers in January-June. "There is growth in international traffic - 24.61 million people, which is 6% more than the same indicator last year," the agency said.
