The international seaports of Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan) and Alyat (Azerbaijan) have held a joint practical training on information exchange in maritime transport, aimed at improving the efficiency of cargo flow control and strengthening cooperation between port services in the region.
According to FinFly.News, citing the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, port control groups from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan took part in the training.
The event focused on developing international cargo turnover in the Caspian Sea, combating illicit trafficking of goods, and reducing related risks. A separate objective was to enhance the professional skills of specialists, facilitate rapid information exchange, and promote direct cooperation between the international seaports of Turkmenbashi and Alyat.
Participants shared practical experience and jointly practiced skills in analyzing shipping documents, as well as conducting customs inspections of cargo and vehicles.
