Ookla, a company specializing in network quality assessment, has released its Speedtest Global Index report for July. According to the data, the median fixed broadband internet speed in Azerbaijan was 92.52 Mbps, while mobile internet speed was 99.53 Mbps.
Year-on-year, fixed internet speed increased by 9.43 Mbps (11.35%), and mobile by 24.96 Mbps (33.47%).
In Baku, the median fixed internet speed reached 92.65 Mbps, and mobile 121.54 Mbps. Annual growth was 9.28 Mbps (11.13%) and 29.36 Mbps (31.85%), respectively.
Experts attribute the growth to digital transformation, increased demand for e-services, and the expansion of remote work and education opportunities, confirming the country's improved position in global rankings.
