ADNOC has signed a multi-year partnership with OpenAI and G42 to deploy artificial intelligence across operational and commercial workflows. The company announced the agreement at ADIPEC on November 2.
The partners plan to combine OpenAI technology, ADNOC industrial data and G42 infrastructure in the UAE. Applications include field-development planning, refining, logistics and trading.
ADNOC says consequential decisions will retain human oversight. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The agreement sets out a deployment programme, not demonstrated savings or production gains. Its results will need to be assessed against measurable operational tasks rather than the adoption of AI alone.
