The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a multimodal transit route, is gradually moving from concept to practical implementation, according to a joint statement by the US, Armenia and Azerbaijan marking the first anniversary of the peace summit at the White House.
"The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) — a multimodal transit route — is turning from an idea into reality thanks to concrete progress, including an agreement between the US and Armenia to establish the TRIPP Development Company, which will oversee infrastructure development," the statement said.
It notes that engineering and survey work is already underway in Armenia. Azerbaijan, for its part, has nearly completed the construction of automobile and railway roads on its territory that will connect with TRIPP in Armenia.
In addition, the US, Armenia and Azerbaijan support the construction of a power transmission line along the TRIPP route.
The statement also notes that the US has allocated $201 million to the Trans-Caspian Route Entrepreneurship Fund to attract private sector investment in the Trans-Caspian trade route, or Middle Corridor, in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
