The UK government has announced new sanctions against Russia, adding 38 entities – individuals and legal entities, as well as shadow fleet vessels – to its restrictions list. This was reported by the press service of the British government.
The restrictions target Russian financial institutions – Stolichny Kredit commercial bank, Planeta joint-stock company – as well as companies from Canada and Kyrgyzstan that are believed to have provided economic support to the Russian government.
The sanctions list also includes companies from Russia, Turkey, India and Thailand that supplied goods or technology to Russia.
The restrictions also apply to energy companies Zarubezhneft JSC and INK-Capital JSC.
Another 12 vessels of Russia's shadow fleet have been hit by UK trade and maritime sanctions.
