Georgian oil company Repsol, which sold gasoline to the intermediary Solidus for subsequent fuel deliveries to Abkhazia, has suspended the pumping of petroleum products to the republic.

"This year, the company purchased gasoline from Solidus LLC, paid for the products, and is gradually exporting it. Where Solidus LLC will sell the purchased petroleum products is not agreed with us and falls outside our responsibility," the Repsol statement said.

It is reported that the reason for the refusal to import fuel is the negative reaction of a significant part of the Georgian public and opposition parties. The company is being criticized among opposition forces, and politicians are demanding that a criminal case be opened against it.
