Member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) plan to create a unified digital economic platform to expand mutual trade.
This was stated by Kürşad Zorlu, deputy chairman of Turkey's ruling AK Parti party, at the II International Conference of Leading National Think Tanks of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku.
According to him, the digital partnership agreement has already been signed, and the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan have ratified it. In other countries, the ratification process is ongoing.
"We want to create a digital economic platform between the Turkic states. In Turkey, there are about 3 million companies, and 76% of them conduct foreign trade operations in the traditional way. We need to use a digital platform to promote goods produced in our countries both in domestic and global markets," Zorlu noted.
He added that Turkey has already created the digital platform "Türkiyə Kervanı" with the support of the private sector, and Uzbekistan is implementing its own significant projects in this direction.
