A gasoline deficit of up to 5% persists on Russia's domestic market. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said this in an interview with Vesti following the Russian Energy Week forum (REW-2026) in Moscow.

"As for motor gasoline, the situation on the domestic market remains quite tense, although it has been improving in recent weeks. We see this in the situation at filling stations and in the regions. Nevertheless, there is still a partial deficit on the market of about 5%," Novak said.

He recalled that to achieve market balance, oil companies increased fuel production and postponed scheduled refinery repairs. Imported gasoline supplies are helping to cover the remaining deficit.
