MOL's upstream capital expenditure in Azerbaijan amounted to $33.97 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with $33.80 million a year earlier, according to the company's financial and operational data.

Nine-month spending totalled $104.08 million: $34.74 million in the first quarter, $35.37 million in the second and $33.97 million in the third. Figures are rounded from MOL's published data.

Production accounting

In its quarterly presentation, MOL reported Azerbaijani entitlement production of 11,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day, compared with 13,200 in the third quarter of 2025 and 14,200 in the second quarter of 2026.

The company attributed the quarter-on-quarter decline to lower entitlement in a high oil price environment. This measure describes volumes due to MOL under contractual arrangements, rather than the entire physical output of the fields or the country.

MOL also said the Central Azeri platform turnaround was completed in August and drilling activities were continuing.
