A complete power outage has been recorded in all cities of Georgia.

Due to the massive grid failure, the Tbilisi metro has completely stopped operating. Train service across the country has also been suspended. Electricity is absent in all populated areas of the republic.

This incident is the third case of large-scale power supply disruption in Georgia in the last two weeks. Information about the causes of the incident and the timeline for restoring power is currently being clarified.

According to the company 'State Electric System', the failure was caused by tests conducted after the accidents that occurred on July 24–25. To check the station equipment, specialists launched the power system in isolated mode at non-standard frequencies. These actions triggered a temporary suspension of power supply in all regions of the country.
