Eduard Kubatov, Director of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Kyrgyzstan, met with representatives of the World Bank. The working meeting took place on October 8, the agency reported.
During the talks, the parties discussed key areas for the development of the tourism industry, the agency's current activities, and possible instruments of support for the sector from the World Bank.
Particular attention was paid to the potential of the World Bank Group to attract investment in Kyrgyzstan's tourism sector and to create conditions for the development of private entrepreneurship.
In addition, the meeting participants reviewed the current status of the Sujan project and further steps for its implementation.
Following the negotiations, the parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism and joint work on promising projects.
