Nearly 350,000 active Azerbaijani farmers have gained access to tools from the "Agrarian Artificial Intelligence" project through their electronic cabinets. This was announced on Thursday at a press conference dedicated to the project's implementation and technological innovations in the agricultural sector by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova, in response to a question from a FinFly correspondent.
According to her, farmers can view ratings and information about plant health in their electronic cabinets. The completeness of data on plot coordinates is crucial for receiving these services.
"We are not talking about the temperature for the country or city as a whole. The data provided is determined based on the location of the specific plot that the farmer has entered into the system. If there are gaps in the data on plot coordinates in a farmer's electronic cabinet, the information they receive may also be incomplete," she said.
Gadimova noted that services are provided based on the plot registered by the user and the crop they have selected. According to her, efforts to inform farmers will continue in order to increase the number of users of services available via Telegram.
"As part of this process, we worked with leading farmers. They used Telegram tools in their orchards and on their sown plots. At the next stage, we began collecting their feedback. This allows us both to verify the correctness of the proposed solutions and to improve the project by taking into account additional questions and suggestions from farmers," the deputy minister said.
She added that in the last quarter of the year, work will begin on a plant identification solution. It will make it possible to determine whether the crop declared by the farmer is actually being grown on the plot.
"At the initial stage, soil preparation is checked, then the emergence of sprouts, and at the final stage, plant identification is carried out. To assess the correctness of the modules' operation, we must work in parallel with the agricultural year. Data is also verified directly on the plots," Gadimova emphasized.
According to the deputy minister, preparation of a farmer sowing map, envisaged by the new state program, will also begin in the last quarter of the year. The initial stage of implementing these solutions is planned to be completed by the end of the current year.
