Amendments have been made to the 'Rules for Declaring Goods and Vehicles Transported Across the Customs Border'. The corresponding decree was signed by Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
According to the decree, the 'Red Channel' passage system will be intended for declaring goods in written form on paper or in electronic form by submitting a simplified goods declaration.
Individuals transporting goods in hand luggage and/or accompanied baggage that are not intended for production or commercial purposes but are subject to declaration in written form will need to submit a simplified declaration to customs authorities using the form specified in Annex No. 10 to these Rules.
At the same time, for goods not intended for production or commercial purposes, transported in unaccompanied baggage (except for international postal items accompanied by documents provided for by acts of the Universal Postal Union), a simplified declaration will be submitted to customs authorities using the form specified in Annex No. 12 to these Rules.
