The Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund will become a shareholder in the state-owned Azər-Türk Bank by acquiring new shares in the bank.
According to Azər-Türk Bank, the potential investment is planned through an additional share issuance, which will increase the bank's charter capital.
The corresponding agreement was signed on September 25–26 during the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026), held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev. The document was signed by Dayanat Sadullayev, acting chairman of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding, and Saif Al-Mahrouqi, managing director of intergovernmental funds (G2G) at the Oman Investment Authority.
Azər-Türk Bank was established in 1995. Its charter capital stands at 100.5 million manats. SOCAR owns 51% of the bank's shares, the State Property Service under the Ministry of Economy, acting on behalf of the Azerbaijani government, holds 24%, Turkey's Ziraat Bank owns 12.37%, Ziraat Bank International holds 1.08%, AzRe Təkrarsığorta OJSC owns 6.55%, and Qala Həyat Sığorta OJSC holds 5%.
