The Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund will become a shareholder in the state-owned OJSC Azer-Turk Bank. The corresponding agreement was signed during the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026), held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev.

On the Azerbaijani side, the document was signed by Dayanat Sadullayev, acting general director of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding, and on the Omani side by Saif Al-Mahrouqi, head of intergovernmental funds (G2G) at the Oman Investment Authority.

Azer-Turk Bank was established in 1995. Its charter capital is 100.5 million manats. SOCAR owns 51% of the bank's shares, the State Service for Property Affairs under the Ministry of Economy, acting on behalf of the Azerbaijani government, holds 24%, Turkey's Ziraat Bank holds 12.37%, Ziraat Bank International holds 1.08%, OJSC AzRe Təkrarsığorta holds 6.55%, and OJSC Qala Həyat Sığorta holds 5%.
