The Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AİH) and China's Silk Road Fund (SRF) are establishing a Joint Investment Fund.
According to AİH, the fund's total capital will be 7.5 billion Chinese yuan (about $1 billion).
The fund will finance investment projects in Azerbaijan and other countries participating in China's Belt and Road Initiative. It will create a framework for AİH and SRF to jointly review investment opportunities and finance promising projects. The new mechanism will open up additional opportunities to expand investment cooperation and attract long-term capital into various projects.
The creation of the fund is based on a Framework Agreement signed between AİH and SRF in April 2025.
The establishment of the fund is an important step in deepening investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and China. AİH and SRF plan to continue working together to identify and finance projects of mutual interest.
