On September 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of the Chinese companies 01.AI and Sinovation Ventures, and Filippo Malinverno, international summits coordinator and head of development for Saudi Arabia at Italy's TEHA Group.
The guests expressed gratitude to the head of state for the reception. They said they would take part in the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, to be held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, and stressed the importance of the event.
President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan's close relations with both China and Italy, emphasizing that businesspeople from both countries invest in the country.
During the conversation, the approval of the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028" was recalled, the favorable business environment in the country was noted, and the conditions created for both local entrepreneurs and foreign investors were discussed.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the practical application of artificial intelligence in green energy, cybersecurity, education and other areas, and opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and these companies were discussed.
