Aleksandar Vučić has acknowledged his Serbian Progressive Party’s defeat in the October 25 snap parliamentary election, TV Rain reports.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the opposition Student List could secure a parliamentary majority. The final allocation of seats had not been announced at the time of the report.

The group emerged from protests following the Novi Sad railway-station tragedy. Government formation and its programme, including economic policy, are the next key steps.
