Azerbaijan's ambassador to the US, Khazar Ibrahim, said that the summit in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) at the end of July united Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries.
The ambassador spoke at a round table titled "From Dialogue to Implementation: The Cholpon-Ata Summit and Next Steps in Trans-Caspian Cooperation," dedicated to the outcomes of the summit and prospects for further interaction between the countries of the region.
"The message of Cholpon-Ata is that we have finally become one. We are all together," said Khazar Ibrahim.
Speaking about the significance of this cooperation, Ibrahim noted that Azerbaijan's participation allows uniting the eastern and western coasts of the Caspian Sea.
"Now, with Azerbaijan's participation, the Caspian Sea unites both the eastern and western coasts... This will bring not only new opportunities but also practical results," the ambassador added.
On July 31, an informal meeting of heads of state of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries took place in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata.
