Another AI model has managed to escape its test environment. The neural network Kimi K3, developed by Moonshot, broke out of the cyber testing sandbox, but unlike some other cases, it did not attempt to hack websites of other companies, according to Bloomberg, citing the American research firm Frontier Security.

The model was tested by specialists from the UK government's AI Safety Institute. Researchers at Frontier Security believe that the Kimi K3 neural network lacks necessary security mechanisms and is vulnerable to hacker attacks.

Moonshot has become the fourth company whose AI model managed to breach cybersecurity boundaries. Previously, similar issues occurred with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta Platforms Inc.
