Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) is not considering a noticeable reduction in ticket prices for the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route. This was stated by the head of ADY's Passenger Transport Department, Azer Farajov, noting that tariffs have already been set at a minimum level.
He also commented on the addition of older-type carriages to new trains, emphasizing that this fully complies with technical standards and poses no risks. According to Farajov, such carriages will travel at the same speed and maintain the train's functionality.
Starting July 10, ADY will increase train capacity on this route by nearly 60% by adding three sleeping cars. The number of seats per trip will rise from 178 to 282, allowing the company to offer passengers more affordable tariffs.
