Russia is the only country in the world that independently produces all components for aviation equipment. The ministry emphasized that this became possible thanks to the many years of work by thousands of specialists. Their labor and knowledge help develop domestic aviation and strengthen technological independence.
Earlier, the United Engine Corporation, part of the state corporation Rostec, delivered the first two serial PD-8 engines to the customer. They are planned to be installed on Superjet aircraft. The type certificate for the PD-8 was issued in June 2026. During development, new solutions, technologies from the PD-14 project, and digital twins were used. The engine was created in cooperation with UEC enterprises.
