Yelzhas Otynshiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ), held a meeting with Leo Chen, Senior Vice President of Huawei for Corporate Sales. The parties reviewed the results of current cooperation and outlined strategic plans for further technological modernization of Kazakhstan's railway infrastructure.
During the talks, key attention was paid to the implementation of advanced digital solutions aimed at improving the safety, reliability, and efficiency of KTZ's logistics processes. In particular, the meeting participants discussed several projects in detail, including the deployment of an LTE-R communication network: the introduction of a specialized standard for wireless operational communication for railway transport, which will ensure uninterrupted data transmission and high-quality coordination of train traffic. Also discussed was the creation of a Data Processing Center (DPC): the construction of high-tech infrastructure for data storage and processing, including the integration of advanced Huawei computing cards to support the operation of analytical systems and artificial intelligence.
In addition, the launch of an Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) was discussed: the deployment of a situational center for comprehensive monitoring, visualization of technological processes, and real-time operational management of the railway network. The parties also discussed strengthening cybersecurity: the creation of a dedicated Cybersecurity Center to protect KTZ's critical digital infrastructure from modern information threats.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the strategic partnership with Huawei allows KTZ to implement best global practices and innovations, accelerating the company's transformation into a leading digital logistics operator in the region.
