Iran is ready to strike not only oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz but also other oil export routes from Persian Gulf countries if regional states join US anti-Iran sanctions, said Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

"We tell all neighboring countries not to participate in the US economic war against Iran, otherwise Tehran will consider them its enemies," he said.

Rezaei also noted that if neighboring states join US sanctions, "not a drop of oil will leave the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz." According to him, Iran will also target other oil export routes from the region.

At the same time, Rezaei stressed that Tehran "does not seek to expand the war." However, if neighboring countries support the US in the economic confrontation with Iran, Tehran will damage their interests.
