The international tender for the construction of new four-lane highways that will connect Georgia with Azerbaijan and Armenia has been extended by 10 days, according to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia.
The deadline for submitting proposals for the tender, which was announced on July 7 and was originally set to close on August 14, has been moved to August 24.
The project, with a total cost of €250 million, will be financed through a loan from the European Investment Bank. The new highways, with a total length of 61.3 km, will be built from the city of Rustavi towards Girmizi Korpu and Sadakhly.
