Garmin has expanded its Guided Visual Approaches database to include airports in Mexico. The October 22 update adds 12 approaches and eight airports, including Cabo San Lucas.

The database provides lateral and vertical guidance during visual approaches. Garmin explicitly states that these procedures are not approved for use in instrument meteorological conditions.

That restriction matters more than similarities between the display and other approach interfaces. Additional on-screen guidance does not authorise use in every weather condition or with every equipment configuration.

This is a navigation-database expansion, not the opening of airports or new passenger services. Compatibility and permitted use must be established from the documentation for the particular aircraft and its installed avionics.
