Emirates plans to deploy an Airbus A350 on daily Dubai–Mauritius service EK709/710 from November 1. It will replace the Boeing 777 currently used on the service, according to the airline’s October 22 announcement.
The aircraft is configured for 298 passengers: 32 in Business, 28 in Premium Economy and 238 in Economy. Two other daily services to the island will retain A380 aircraft.
This is a product change on an existing route, not an additional direct destination. For travellers, the distinction is primarily about the cabin and the particular flight selected.
Connecting itineraries still need to be checked end to end. An aircraft change on one leg does not determine the experience on another; fares, baggage and transfer conditions depend on the ticket chosen.
