Azerbaijan Airlines, part of AZCON Holding, has added another next-generation Airbus A321neo to its fleet. With the introduction of the new aircraft, the total number of next-generation aircraft in the airline's fleet has reached 10 (8 Airbus A320neo and 2 Airbus A321neo).

The new aircraft will expand the airline's capacity to increase traffic volumes on its most popular routes and will help improve operational efficiency. The consistent addition of this type of aircraft also enhances scheduling flexibility and allows the airline to adapt capacity more effectively to seasonal changes in passenger demand.

The aircraft is equipped with a modern Airspace cabin, an in-flight entertainment system and high-speed Wi-Fi. The updated interior, larger overhead bins and adjustable lighting system provide additional comfort on board.

Compared with previous-generation aircraft, the Airbus A321neo consumes approximately 20% less fuel and allows carbon emissions per passenger seat to be reduced by a comparable amount.

The first Airbus A321neo joined the Azerbaijan Airlines fleet in July 2026. With the arrival of the second aircraft of this type, the number of new aircraft received by the airline since the start of the year has reached five. Two more Airbus A321neo are expected to be delivered by the end of 2026.

Azerbaijan's national carrier continues its phased fleet renewal as part of a long-term development programme. The programme provides for expanding the fleet, increasing the share of modern aircraft and building a sustainable operational base for further growth in passenger traffic.

By 2032, Azerbaijan Airlines plans to increase its fleet to 50 aircraft. The fleet renewal is accompanied by route network expansion, improved operational efficiency, enhanced passenger service and the development of a professional training system for flight crews.
