Indian private airline Air India, along with budget carriers IndiGo and Air India Express, cancelled flights to Riyadh from October 8 to 10 for safety reasons after the international airport in the Saudi capital was hit by a Houthi strike, NDTV reports.

"Due to the situation in the region, we have cancelled flights to and from Riyadh until October 10. Passengers affected by these measures will be offered a free rebooking, or they will receive a full refund if they cancel their booking. We continue to monitor the situation closely," an Air India spokesperson said.

The National reports that German carrier Lufthansa has also decided to suspend flights to Riyadh. Its aircraft will not fly there until October 16.
