Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has discussed new opportunities for cooperation with Chinese partners in developing the Middle Corridor, increasing freight traffic, and expanding logistics capabilities.
The discussions took place during meetings between ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov and delegations from leading Chinese port and technology organizations on the sidelines of the Conference of Port Authorities of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.
The meetings addressed the development of transport and logistics links between Azerbaijan and China, increasing cargo flows along the Middle Corridor, and digitalizing port and railway operations.
Also discussed was the implementation of digital and smart solutions in port operations, including terminal management systems, intelligent cargo accounting solutions, freight yard management, data integration, and digital coordination of port and railway operations.
In addition, the ADY Chairman met with a delegation from Lianyungang Port JSC. The parties discussed the development of the Lianyungang-Baku route, expanding the organization of block trains along the Middle Corridor, and attracting additional cargo flows in the European direction.
