Aviation Capital Group has placed a firm order for 75 A320neo-family aircraft, Airbus announced on October 16.
It is ACG’s largest order in nearly 40 years. The agreement takes the lessor’s cumulative orders for the family to 190 aircraft. That historical total is distinct from the number of aircraft still awaiting delivery.
The California-based lessor is focusing on modern narrowbody jets. Large leasing orders provide airlines with another route to expanding their fleets without buying every aircraft directly from a manufacturer.
