Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed allocating KZT 6.5 trillion from the National Fund to infrastructure modernisation through end-2029. Total.kz reported the proposal from his 28 October address.

The plan covers social facilities, transport and engineering infrastructure. He separately outlined KZT 1.5 trillion for launching social projects in 2026 and the first two months of 2027.

These are planned financing amounts, not completed construction. Project lists, procurement schedules and actual spending will determine delivery. The KZT 1.5 trillion figure should not automatically be added to the overall envelope without clarification of the programme’s structure.
