Commercial rents reach AZN 16 per square metre: the cost for businesses

Azerbaijan’s median commercial rent rose from AZN 15 to AZN 16 per square metre in October, according to the Chamber of Appraisers. The monthly increase was 6.7%.

What one extra manat means over a year

On otherwise identical terms, a 50-square-metre unit would cost AZN 50 more per month; a 100-square-metre unit AZN 100 more; and a 200-square-metre unit AZN 200 more. The twelve-month differences would be AZN 600, AZN 1,200 and AZN 2,400. These FinFly calculations use the median rate change and exclude utilities and other charges.

The median describes the middle of the observed market. It does not mean every existing lease automatically increased by 6.7%: actual payments depend on the property and contractual review terms.
