The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury has imposed sanctions on the Chinese online platform Xinbi Guarantee as part of efforts to combat cyber fraud. This is stated in a statement on the US Treasury's website.
"Xinbi Guarantee is a major illegal online platform used by transnational criminal organizations for cyber fraud, money laundering, and other criminal activities targeting US citizens," the department notes.
It is specified that two additional entities that supported key operations of Xinbi Guarantee have also been subjected to restrictions.
