US President Donald Trump has denied Washington's involvement in the slowdown of Starshield, the military modification of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet. The US leader told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House, FinFly reports.

"Well, I don't know who it could have been, because it wasn't me. And I don't think it was Elon [Musk]. As far as I understand, everything remained the same as before," he said.

A day earlier, Reuters, citing sources, reported that Starlink operations for the Ukrainian military had been restricted at the direction of the White House. The measures caused communication disruptions between Ukrainian units and their headquarters and reduced internet speeds, complicating military operations.

Elon Musk had earlier noted on X that restrictions on Starshield are set by the US military or the president, since the system is owned by the US government.
