Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to the importance of developing all elements of the digital security system in light of current threats.
"Russia today is consistently strengthening its sovereignty, and in all areas: from basic food and energy security to digital infrastructure. At the same time, it is obvious that as digitalization develops, against the backdrop of the direct and hybrid external aggression we face, cyber threats to the economy, logistics, transport, the social sphere, life-support systems and public administration are also reaching a new level," Putin said at the start of a meeting on cybersecurity.
He noted that to counter these threats, "it is necessary to improve all components of the domestic digital security system, including risk assessment and analysis, monitoring mechanisms depending on external platforms, as well as tools for rapid response to cyberattacks, and to increase coordination between law enforcement agencies and special services and telecom operators, financial organizations, internet companies and other structures."
"I expect to hear today proposals that will make it possible to raise the level of Russia's digital security," the Russian president said, before giving the floor for a report to Sberbank CEO German Gref.
