LG CNS has completed the first, 30 MW phase of an AI data center in Jakarta. According to an LG announcement dated November 2, a customer committed to the entire available capacity before construction was finished.

The project was commissioned by KMG, a joint venture between Indonesia’s Sinar Mas and Korea Investment Real Asset Management. The wider development is planned to reach 400 MW. That figure describes a future ambition, not infrastructure already completed.

The first phase uses air cooling, while liquid cooling is planned for later stages. The distinction matters for AI workloads: increasing equipment density requires more heat to be removed, making the cooling system a central part of the facility’s design.

A capacity figure in megawatts does not, by itself, disclose the number of servers, model performance or revenue. Full customer commitment to the first phase indicates demand for that capacity; it does not mean that the entire planned 400 MW development has entered service.
