Intel may release another processor in the Arc G3 line for portable gaming consoles, and it will be a low-performance model.
According to insider Jaykihn, Intel is preparing a CPU with a 4+0+4 configuration and an iGPU with 4 Xe cores. Recall that the Arc G3 Extreme offers a 2+8+4 configuration and an iGPU with 12 cores, while the Arc G3 has the same processor part but a graphics core with 10 cores.
Four graphics cores will provide quite modest performance, and it is curious that such a processor will have twice as many large cores as existing ones.
But such a CPU should be cheaper and consume even less power. Unfortunately, in current realities, this does not mean that we will see handheld consoles for $500 — this segment, before memory prices drop, is a thing of the past.
Insider Jaykihn was the first to share tests of the Core Ultra 9 285K and described the entire Core Ultra 200S line.
