Booknetic has released a security update for its WordPress appointment-booking plugin. Version 5.10.4 was released on 13 October, according to the developer’s changelog.

The update strengthens SQL query protection and checks on data-table operations. It focuses on security without adding new features. The developer recommends installing the new version.

Booknetic lets businesses manage services, staff schedules, booking confirmations and payments through their websites. It also supports multiple locations and customer reminders.

Developed by FS Code, the plugin automates service bookings, including for education, repairs and other customer-facing businesses.

The developer subsequently released version 6.0.0 on 23 October and fixes in 6.0.1 on 24 October. The 6.0 branch adds extensions for booking multiple staff together and sharing rooms and equipment between appointments.
