Azerbaijan and Senegal have discussed cooperation in digital development and innovation. The matter was considered at a meeting between Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov and a delegation led by Senegal's Minister of Public Service, Labour and Public Administration Reform, Mamadou Lamine Diante.
The visit of the Senegalese delegation to Azerbaijan was organized with the support of the Islamic Cooperation Center for Labour.
The sides discussed the work carried out within the framework of the memoranda of understanding signed in December 2025. The Senegalese side informed about the digital transformation agenda of public services in their country.
"The meeting participants exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation, focusing on the exchange of experience in the digitalization of public services, particularly regarding the 'myGov' platform. The importance of enhancing the qualifications of civil servants in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity was emphasized, and opportunities to support the startup ecosystem were also considered," the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan reported.
